About Elizabeth
Born in Chennai, India, Elizabeth immigrated to the U.S. with her parents, who sought opportunity and a brighter future. Her family settled in Dallas, Texas, where her parents, David and Kala Razu, worked multiple jobs while instilling in her the values of hard work and education. Elizabeth and her husband, Dr. Kelvin Shaw, have three children, all of whom have attended Humble ISD schools.
Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University before beginning her career at Andersen Consulting/Accenture. With over 15+ years of experience in strategic global consulting, she has worked with Fortune 500 executives to transform their organizations, optimize operations, and adapt to new business landscapes. Her work spans industries such as financial services, retail, and high-tech markets, specializing in restructuring IT organizations to meet emerging business needs both domestically and internationally.
Her extensive experience in business consulting and leadership has given her a deep understanding of how organizations can thrive by focusing on governance, purpose-driven leadership, and adaptability in a rapidly changing marketplace. She is passionate about helping business owners and CEOs build sustainable enterprises that align with a strong mission and vision.
Beyond her professional career, Elizabeth and her family are deeply committed to orphan care prevention. She serves on the boards of several organizations, including the National Christian Foundation, Lifesong for Orphans, and myLIFEspeaks, all of which focus on education, public health, family empowerment, and sustainable business solutions. Previously, she served as Development Chair for The Source for Women Houston/Texas, working for six years to provide free well-woman care and holistic support for women in need.
Elizabeth is a dedicated advocate for strong governance, accountability, and efficiency in both businesses and nonprofits. She understands the importance of board leadership and is committed to bringing these principles to Humble ISD.
